In 1976, under the umbrella of the Dawood Group of Companies, Dawood Yamaha Limited (DYL) was formed in a joint venture with Yamaha Motor Company (YMC), Japan. Since its launch, Dawood Yamaha Limited (DYL) has built extensive world-class facilities for manufacturing and marketing the Yamaha brand of motorcycles in Pakistan. Since its founding, Dawood Yamaha Limited’s (DYL) reputation as a manufacturer of quality motorcycles has remained unquestioned.

In 2008, Dawood Yamaha Limited (DYL) underwent an image transformation and changed its name to DYL Motorcycles. With this name change we also introduced a new product, “YD-70 Dhoom”. Dhoom is the economical cousin of Yamaha Royale and recently produced Yamaha Junoon. DYL Motorcycles manufacturing plants are located in Hub Chowki, where its sister company Balochistan Engineering Works (BEWL) produces the frame, fuel tank, rear arm, fenders, gears, hubs, levers, crank and cover cases, for our motorcycle range. The assembly plant for our motorcycles is based in Uthal, where the plant manufactures motorcycles in accordance with very high quality standards laid down by Yamha Motor Co. Japan. At present the four brands which are being produced and marketed by DYL Motorcycles are:

DYL YD-70 Dhoom is an economical and fuel efficient bike. It’s 4-stroke engine provides both power and fuel efficient urban running. It’s the newest addition in the line-up with clear emphasis on performance and quality.

Yamaha YB-100 Royale: The original Yamaha two-stroke. Unquestionably favoured by the rural communities for its durability and strength. The YB-100 Royale has been the benchmark to which all bikes in Pakistan are measured.

Yamaha YD-100 Yama-4: The first Yamaha in Pakistan which provided 100cc power with the fuel efficiency of a 4-stroke engine.

Yamaha Junoon is the performance bike in the DYL line-up. Since its launch, Junoon has stunned with its beauty and awed those who ride it.

All four motorbikes are available throughout Pakistan at its 300+ Sales Dealers. Our commitment to quality however does not end when you purchase your bike. With 90 Star Shops, 700+ Service/Warranty Dealers, and 500+ Spare Part Dealers, we provide all our customers with the opportunity to have their bikes checked by one of our trained staff, should a problem arise. We also hold regular training sessions for our service dealers at our Yamaha Technical Academy’ (YTA), based in Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi and Karachi. Our training sessions are held to ensure every DYL service dealer is trained until he masters the art and science behind motorcycle engineering. This also means that should any problem occur with your bike, every DYL service dealer in every corner of Pakistan, will be capable of providing you with the high quality service you have come to expect from DYL Motorcycles’ Service Team.
